Claire Ferdinando began her media career in 1990 when she trained as an actor at The Acting Studio, Manchester, England. She began working at The Acting Studio as an acting tutor after graduating to pursue her career as an actor.

In 1992 Claire founded The Box Office Theatre Company and filled the role of Artistic Director. During her time with the Company, Claire gained experience in writing, directing, producing, acting, set and lighting design as well as marketing and publicity.

Two years later, Claire became involved with Eastern Eye Films and her interests moved from stage to film. Over the next few years she wrote, produced and directed both dramatic and corporate films. During her career with Eastern Eye Films, Claire was commissioned to write her first screenplay, a feature length romantic comedy entitled; Dance of the Quanta.

Since then Claire has worked as an actor’s agent, casting director, advisor, editor and script analyst. Although gaining experience in many areas of the film industry, Claire has continued to teach throughout her career, both at The Acting Studio and through her own workshops and courses, in particular concentrating on acting for the camera.

In addition to teaching in a class situation, in 2004 Claire began to provide private coaching and was invited to coach young actors for a professional television production company for a new children’s television series.

Most recently Claire worked on the feature film The Spell as Casting Director and as well as act in the film. Claire’s second feature film as a writer, A Bed of Thorns, is a psychological thriller has been well received and is currently in development with Mark Campbell of Productions in Boston. This will be Claire’s directorial debut.
